Niseko Hanazono Hill Climb

The Niseko Hanazono Hill Climb is an annual massed start TT cycle race that starts in the center of Kutchan town and finishes at Niseko Annupuri Goshiki-onsen. The course extends over 15.5km with an average gradient of 4.6% (620 meters of elevation change). Over 250 racers have participated in past events and the number of riders is growing each year.

The hill climb is also run in conjunction with the Kutchan Jagata-matsuri. There are a number of categories ranging from elite to beginners and the focus of the event is on participation.
Rules: Massed started time trial race.

Grouped start may be adopted depends on number of racers. SCF will record the net time for each participant and award each category in terms of net time.

Cutback is at Weiss Gate 1 hour after the start. The course will be closed 2 hours after the start. This race is run in conformity with the regulations of the Japan Cycling Federation (see http://www.jcf.or.jp) and other local rules.
