Performance Shows at Historical Village of Hokkaido

Performance Shows at Historical Village of Hokkaido will be held during the Golden Week (April end to beginning of May) where you can enjoy delightful historical Japanese plays.

These plays will be performed during the annual events “Spring, Village and Romantic” at Historical Village of Hokkaido. They are held in the museum’s old buildings, creating a nostalgic experience, taking us back 100 years in time.

Programs will be: – Banana no Tataki uri (fruit shop assistants sell bananas) – Picture solo storytelling (Kamishibai) – Gama no Abura uri (the sale of oil of toads by oil shop staff)

– Nankin Tamasudare (solo performance using a big Chinese fan)

Shows start at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Programs are subject to change.

Historical Village of Hokkaido is located in the east suburb of Sapporo. From JR Sapporo Station, catch a JR Hokkaido bus numbered 22 and get off at Kitaku no Mura, the last stop. Alternatively catch a JR train (the Airport rapid train to New Chitose Airport or a local – all stops – train to Chitose or Tomakomai) to Shin Sapporo and transfer a JR Hokkaido bus numbered 22 or Shin 22 and get off at the last stop.
