Sunroom Daimaru is a very refreshing place to have healthy and organic cuisine after hiking the streets of Sapporo. Located conveniently on the 10th floor of Daimaru department store, this restaurant will show you a really fine example of Japanese organic dishes.
For those who love natural and organic foods, Sunroom will satisfy your appetite in a very traditional Japanese manner. It has a friendly atmosphere and it is easy to find as it is in the restaurant floor of the landmark department store. Portions are smaller than other restaurants, but are fresh, organic and delicious. You can choose your main dish ranging from meat, fish and tofu hamburger – it is perfect for vegan! A unique and delightfully tasty feature at this restaurant is that you can order a bowl of tororo, which is a kind of potato puree poured over your dish. It sounds unusual, but it’s very fresh and healthy. There isn’t any English or other languages on the menu, but it has pictures, and there is a display of plastic models out front. The only problem for customers is trying to choose to eat with so much choice!
Sunroom Daimaru is located on the 10th floor of the Daimaru department store at the Southwest corner of Sapporo Station. It opens from 11:00 to 22:00, last orders are taken at 9:30.
