Hioi Cafe is a warm and comfortable little cafe located in Sakaemachi, a northeast suburb of Sapporo.
When you arrive at the cafe beautiful flowers greet you on your left hand side with a homey atmosphere as you enter the premises, right down to a small heater in the center of the cafe in the same way as a majority of Hokkaido homes. Orange walls with drawings create an additional warmth along with the smell of baking bread.
Enjoy weekly special authentic soups such as Italian minestrone along with four to five choices of homemade breads.Ingredients are exclusively selected vegetables with Hokkaido fresh products used as much as possible.
Lighter meals include egg sandwiches, English muffin sandwiches filled with teriyaki chicken served with potato salad, Paninis filled with crab and avocado and fruit sandwiches with black tea jelly. Set meals of soup, two pieces of homemade bread, crispy salad and a cup of coffee or tea are available Tuesday to Friday.
Drink menu includes blended coffee (hot and iced), tea (hot, iced and English breakfast tea with steamed milk), Cafe au lait, Green tea au lait, homemade gingerale, 100% mandarin juice, 100% grape juice and 100% apple juice. Finish your dining with irresistible desserts such as Hioi pudding (mandarin pudding with white chocolate sauces), plain cheese cakes, French toast made with homemade bread, and pancakes.
